# No processing history? Sell first, apply later

You can sell PPV through 2fans with no processing history, and build real sales numbers before you apply for your own account. Those sales aren’t processing history on an account of your own, so each provider decides what they count for.

## What selling first gets you

- **Real numbers.** Sales and refund figures for each creator, from the API.
- **Proof of demand.** You know which creators, prices and channels sell before you commit to anything.
- **Time.** You're earning while you decide whether your own contract is worth it. In our experience it takes 6 to 12 months.

## What it doesn't do

It isn't a track record on a merchant account in your name. Providers often ask for statements from an account like that, so ask each one what they'll accept.

## Applying with no history

Some adult billers take new businesses: [Verotel's Basic plan](https://www.verotel.com/en/pricechart.html) lists no history requirement, while its Premium plan asks for six months of statements. Others ask for months of statements up front.

## What to avoid

Don't run your own products through someone else's account to get started. It's called factoring, and it can freeze your funds and get you blacklisted. Through 2fans, creators sell their own content hosted on 2fans.

2fans was called Dropfans until October 2026, so the API host is still www.dropfans.io and keys still start with dpfn_.
